Claude internal-comms skill: status reports and updates

The Claude internal-comms skill’s SKILL.md tells Claude to use it whenever you ask for internal communications: status reports, leadership updates, 3P updates (Progress, Plans, Problems), company newsletters, FAQ answers, incident reports and project updates. Its description frames it as resources for writing in the formats your company likes to use.

Claude first identifies the type of communication you asked for, then loads the matching guideline file from the skill’s examples folder: one for 3P updates, one for company newsletters, one for FAQ answers and a general file for anything else. It follows that file’s instructions on format, tone and how to gather the content. If a request fits none of them, the skill tells Claude to ask for clarification or more context about the format you want. Because the guidelines describe one set of house formats, the skill works well as a starting point for your own: edit the example files to match your team’s templates and upload the result as a custom skill.

The skill is part of the example-skills plugin from Anthropic’s skills repository. In the Claude apps, example skills are turned on in Customize > Skills, with Code execution and file creation enabled, and custom skills are uploaded there as a ZIP file (Use skills in Claude).
