Claude’s Free plan costs nothing. Anthropic’s pricing page says every plan “has usage limits that reset on a rolling five-hour session window” and that there is “no fixed message count”: how much you can do depends on the length and complexity of your conversations, the model and the features you use. Free “covers everyday questions”, and Pro gives at least 5x more usage per session than Free.

On Free you get Sonnet and Haiku but not Opus or Fable, up to five projects, web search, memory, file creation with code execution, connectors and Artifacts. Claude Code, Research and Claude Design, Slides and Docs require a paid plan. Usage credits are not available on Free.
