ChatGPT Pro limits

ChatGPT Pro comes in three tiers, at $100, $200 and $500 a month, with usage that grows by tier.

ChatGPT Pro now has three monthly plans, per OpenAI’s Pro tiers article: Pro 100 at $100, Pro 200 at $200 and Pro 500 at $500, all in USD and billed monthly only. OpenAI does not put a number on any allowance: “Pro 200 includes more usage than Pro 100. Pro 500 offers the highest included usage of the three plans.” Only Pro 500 includes Astra Ultrafast, which uses your included allowance at 8 times the Standard rate; Fast mode uses it at 2.5 times.

Pro 200 is open to new subscribers again, with a lower usage allowance than before. If you had an active Pro 200 subscription at any point from September 22 to 10 a.m. Pacific Time on September 29, 2026, you keep the previous allowance through October 29, 2026; after that, the lower allowance applies at the same $200 price.

The Pro models are not unlimited. OpenAI’s GPT-5.6 and GPT-6 Pro article says that on Pro $200, GPT-6 Pro has a weekly limit, after which ChatGPT switches to GPT-5.6 Thinking at Medium, and GPT-5.6 Sol Pro has its own daily allowance plus a combined daily allowance. On Pro $100, GPT-6 Pro and GPT-5.6 Sol Pro draw from one weekly allowance. ChatGPT Work and Codex have separate allowances, and credits can extend eligible usage in Codex, ChatGPT Work and ChatGPT for Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
